At S.A.M, we believe every child can be great at math if they understand it.
Unlike other math enrichment programs, we teach children to understand what math concepts really mean, so that computations are no longer a jumble of numbers and symbols; they hold meaning and dictate numerical relationships. By developing students’ critical thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, we equip them with the tools to tackle math with total confidence.
Rebecca leads the center’s mission to help students become confident, capable, and enthusiastic learners. With more than 15 years of experience in education, Rebecca brings extensive expertise in curriculum development, special education, intervention, and educational leadership to create a personalized learning experience for every student. In addition to leading S.A.M., she serves as a teacher in a local public school district and as a professor supporting professional educators in strengthening their instructional practices. Rebecca holds a Master of Education in Special Education from Rowan University, a degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College.
Rebecca is passionate about providing high-quality instruction that builds conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. She believes every child has the ability to succeed when given the right support, and she is committed to partnering with families to help students thrive academically and develop the skills they need for future success.
